At our hospital, we use the digital C-Arm, an advanced imaging diagnostic medical device, for accurate diagnosis.
Utilizing high-definition digital images allows us to perform precise diagnoses and procedures, enabling quick and effective treatment.
What is C-Arm?
A C-Arm is a portable X-ray imaging device commonly used in hospital operating rooms and emergency rooms for accurate diagnosis. It is a surgical imaging diagnostic tool that provides real-time information, including the condition of the skeleton and nerves, as well as the presence, size, and location of lesions.

What is neuroplasty (SPEN)?
Neuroplasty (SPEN) is a leading non-surgical treatment that effectively addresses post-surgical syndromes such as herniated lumbar and cervical discs. Its main advantages include minimal scarring, few side effects, and high stability, allowing for repeat treatments when necessary.
The procedure involves inserting a special, ultra-small catheter, with a diameter of just 1 mm, into the epidural space of the spine through the spaces between the vertebrae. This catheter delivers a specially formulated medication directly to the area causing pain. Neck neuroplasty, in particular, is a highly specialized and challenging procedure performed at only a few hospitals in Korea. It is a safe option even for people with conditions that make other procedures risky, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease. Additionally, it offers the benefit of fewer side effects and minimal scarring post-procedure.

Neuroplasty process
An ultra-small special catheter with a diameter of 1 mm is inserted between the vertebrae.
The catheter is guided close to the area causing the pain.
Inflammation and adhesions around the causative site (lesion) are removed.
A special drug is injected directly into the causative area (lesion) to treat the pain.

Precautions after neuroplasty
If the treatment area becomes swollen or feverish after the procedure, you must visit the hospital.
Refrain from applying steam or undergoing physical therapy on the treatment area.
Bathing is possible one week after the procedure.
Rare cases of inflammation may occur.
Avoid postures that place strain on the lower back.
After the procedure, you may temporarily lose strength in your legs when walking.
In some cases, there may be no improvement after the procedure, so fundamental treatment for the underlying disease is necessary.
